niche market

Thank you for coming and seeing me at the niche market - all wrapped up at the Tramsheds this weekend just gone.

I had a wonderful time chatting and meeting new people, and catching up with ladies I had not seen for years! Which was really nice.

I have been busy sewing my beautiful 100% wool and cotton (backing) baby and knee blankets.  Just ideal for these cold winter nights!  With snow on the mountain I am sure you will enjoy your blankets even more!

A blanket my gorgeous friend asked me to do for her friend...

One of my favourite punch felted 100% pure wool blanket
Thanks Lisa...enjoy! xxx

the last of my winter garden!

Now though the needles have to be put down and the vegie garden needs planting!

Scarlett and Xia helped my in the garden last week, on one of our fine winter days...
The chooks were moved into their "new" used pen my gorgeous friend had spare, as we found they had a wonderful time scratching in the garden, now it is time to plant my seeds and seedlings ready for summer, and seedlings and chooks do not mix very well.  Lets just say we will go hungry over summer and the chooks will have full bellies for a day or so!!!

My favourite blanket is still here to go to a nice home ...
2 little squirrels throwing acorns to one another!

As niche has 20% going to a wonderful cause St Giles... I have reduced the price of the blanket as it did not sell at the market, shame...
It is now $60
I have it in the salon - Beauty On High
34 High Street
Text or ring me on 0439330596 as I pop in and out all the time!

Which leads me to MOPS
Thursday fortnights held @ TLC Trevallyn Pitt Ave!
If you would like to make a beautiful craft to take home and have PRESCHOOL CHILDREN
pop in for morning tea and some wise words from a guest speaker and do a craft that I have organised...
This month we started a quilt, I demonstrated how to applique and then we all started a block to make a quilt that will be raffled at the end of the year... Thanks mums for your help ;0)
This is to fundraise for the MOPS to continue running.

KEEP LOOKING HERE FOR UPDATES ON THE PROGRESS OF THE QUILT!

Live in George Town?
MOPS is held there Friday fortnights too, next week! 9.30 - 11.30
Run from the Cornerstone Church in Gordon Square...

We had a community fair and this was our table for the mums to come and experience what we do.
A craft, morning tea, and the children play in a room next door with carers! So total mum time aaaahhhhh, nice!
If you are saying "What is that?"  Then you need to pop along!

take care and keep smiling...

Happy New Year!

I must apologise first for not blogging for a verrrrrry long time!
I have been busy doing bits and bobs...
Recently I completed two woollen baby blankets, one was off to Scotland, (a friend of mine asked me to do her  blankets for her friends who both just had a baby boy), but unfortunately as I am not good at wireless transport of photos off my phone so I can not show you a picture. The other one for her friend in Hobart.  Thanks Heidi  hope they love their blankies???
I knitted a blanket for a friend of mine for her beautiful little girl.
Three baby blankets and a painting commission were sold projects but I have no photos, so I am going to ask my friend to send me their pictures to share?
Here are some pictures of a few of my crafts still up for grabs, and I am also available for commissions!
Hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Year,  Blessings...
